Overview
The DLGW3 network gateway serves as the primary communication backbone connecting your physical facility sensor endpoints to the SiteWorx cloud platform. By bridging the local wireless mesh network directly to the cloud without requiring on-premise servers, the DLGW3 enables seamless monitoring and automated control across every corner of your site — transforming edge utility data into actionable operational insights and measurable energy savings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Generally, the rule is 1 gateway per 50 devices, per room. It depends on the size of the facility, and the number of IoT devices in use. Gateways support up to 50 nodes (devices – like sensors or controllers) and should be placed in the center of the nodes they control. While there's not a hard limit on wireless distance, there should be a dense network in order to form a reliable mesh. All nodes should be within eyesight of the gateway they connect to, with no obstructions like walls.
Our mesh network does not interfere with Wifi. The SiteWorx Wireless Mesh Network uses the IEEE 802.15.4 technical standard and some of the Zigbee Mesh Network specifications, however SiteWorx devices are not Zigbee certified and not compatible with other Zigbee devices. SiteWorx Smart Devices output 1/100th to 1/200th of the power output by WiFi, on a far smaller frequency band, for a much shorter period of time.
SiteWorx Smart Devices perform clear channel assessments (i.e. listen before they talk) before transmitting data to reduce the risk of interference when additional devices are operating within the 2.4 GHz band.
Power output for SiteWorx Smart Devices is 0 dBm, or 1 mW.
SiteWorx provides industry-leading lighting and electric load control and, otherwise, gathers and aggregates data to make it available to other building control systems.
