Deployments are usually led by local ESCOs and electrical contractors with remote assistance from SiteWorx engineers.
Large buildings, usually open spaces over 50,000sqft in size. These are typically industrial applications like manufacturing plants, cold storage facilities, food & beverage, warehouses. Other applications include aerospace production facilities and hangars, government and defence facilities, transportation terminals, gyms and hockey rinks, and adjacent commercial, retail, and office buildings.
Generally, the rule is 1 gateway per 50 devices, per room. It depends on the size of the facility, and the number of IoT devices in use. Gateways support up to 50 nodes (devices - like sensors or controllers) and should be placed in the center of the nodes they control. While there's not a hard limit on wireless distance, there should be a dense network in order to form a reliable mesh. All nodes should be within eyesight of the gateway they connect to, with no obstructions like walls.
SiteWorx IoT devices are installed onto core building equipment like lighting fixtures, HVAC systems, and electrical loads using industry standard communication protocols. The devices then communicate via a wireless mesh network to SiteWorx cloud gateways. The gateways are securely connected to the internet via CAT6 cabling using the site's internet connection to communicate with the SiteWorx cloud.
